Job Description	JOB DESCRIPTION: Performs tasks that augment a physician's ability to provide medical services to preoperative and postoperative patients in the Intensive Care Units; collects and documents data, conducts diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, orders and schedules laboratory studies and professional consultations and provides direct patient care. Assists in research projects and instructs others in principles and practices in area of specialization. Assists physicians in providing primary care and case management of patients. Conducts and/or schedules diagnostic, therapeutic and laboratory services and/or professional consultations. Performs other related duties as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program. Currently licensed as an advanced practice nurse in the state of Georgia or Licensed (or certification eligible) as a Physician's Assistant by the National Board of Medical Examiners or the American Academy of Physician's Assistants. Licensed as appropriate in the state of Georgia.
